For a hundred years, God has been changing thousands of lives through Christian camps in Muskoka. For many campers, it’s been the first time they’ve really encountered God. But camp isn’t just for campers – from cabin counsellors to cooks and craft leaders, God also transforms older lives through serving at camp.
Many of these young leaders give up their summers to serve as volunteers. Some camps offer a small stipend – as little as $40 a week – but nowhere near what a summer job would pay. It is hard to save what they need for school, college or university.
We encourage you to consider supporting our young mission workers. For Ontario Pioneer Camp, you donate towards the work of a specific individual. For Camp Mini Yo We, you donate to their general fund that in turn will help support all of its staff.
For both camps, you can also support God’s work by donating to their camper scholarship fund. This enables kids to experience God at camp even if camp costs are too expensive. For Mini Yo We click here, look for “Direct Your Donation”, and select “Kids In Need”. Click here for Ontario Pioneer Camp, and on the right-hand side click on “Select a designation”, and you will see the scholarship categories you can support.
Financial support is valuable, but even more valuable are your prayers for our young workers, and all their campers. Pray that God opens hearts to hear, and transforms both campers and leaders as he has done so faithfully for nearly a century. Thank you for considering these needs!
