We are followers of Jesus looking for God’s direction in finding a church home, a place to grow as His disciples, and from which we can serve the people of Huntsville.
We come from a variety of evangelical or reform backgrounds – Lutheran, Presbyterian, Anglican, Brethren, Pentecostal, Baptist and more – but we all share a love for God’s unchanging Word. As disciples of Jesus, we want to be transformed by it, and see other lives in Huntsville transformed too.
We met for many months to read, pray, and talk. Was it God’s will for us to form a new congregation in Huntsville? We explored many topics related to the potential formation of a congregation, and learned a lot about what a church is and isn’t. And we enjoyed praise and coffee too!
God ultimately led us to realize that we had already become a congregation. It wasn’t a question of whether to *start* a congregation. Instead, did God want to us to continue as a new congregation, or disperse to other excellent congregations around Huntsville?
For right now, God is enabling us to continue worshiping and serving him together as an independent congregation. We are not currently associated with any denomination, though we’d like to be part of a denomination or supportive network that shares our deep respect for God’s word.
We’ve found that God is good, and God is faithful. Maybe it’s a long time since you experienced his goodness or faithfulness. Or maybe you haven’t yet met God – though he already knows and loves you.
