Here is a great opportunity to contribute to God’s work in Huntsville.
The Bridge has chosen a special project to support: The Door Renovations.
The Door reaches hundreds of high school students, with everything from free lunches and the Atomic Youth Group, to Illuminate sessions that support teens and their parents. You can learn more about their programs here at their website. And on Sunday March 9, The Bridge will be hearing directly from Marcy about how God is working through The Door.
The Door operates from a building at 18 Brunel Road. God uses this for many good things. Not only is it used for The Door’s own programs, it also provides space for AA, men’s bible studies, and youth groups. The Door is also generous in providing a place for The Bridge to meet.
This hard-working building now needs urgent waterproofing work on the foundation. This is scheduled to start in the spring as soon as weather permits. This work will not only allow existing programs to continue, but a waterproofed basement – no more flooding! – will provide extra space for additional programs.
If God is leading you to support ministries in Huntsville, we encourage you to donate towards these renovations. If you wish to use a credit card, you can donate directly through the Youth Unlimited website here. When filling in your details, just allocate your funds towards ‘Renovation’ as shown below.
You can also donate by e-transfer or cheque. Funds go directly to YFC Highlands which is a charity registered with the CRA. If you provide your name and address, you will receive a tax receipt.
If you are part of The Bridge, you can let Highlands YFC know you appreciate their support for us. Just note in the comments “I’m a member of The Bridge.” This does not affect your donation or your tax receipt.
Our Goal
The Door reaches many teens. Kids loved by Jesus, kids our churches cannot reach. The Door has a great location right near the high school. Fixing this building is a wise investment in God’s kingdom.
The cost of the needed repairs is over $50,000. The Bridge is joining many churches and individuals who are working together to raise needed funds.
In thanksgiving for The Door sharing their building with us, we aim to raise $5,000 to support renovations for The Door.
We aim to reach our goal by June 30.

All God’s work is worthwhile. We do not seek to divert funds from other Christian ministries. However, if the Lord is leading you to financially support The Bridge, we invite you to join with us in this project to support God’s work among the youth of Huntsville.
The Bridge aims to operate very efficiently so we can use more of God’s gifts to serve others. God has already provided everything The Bridge needs. Since we have no need for funds, The Bridge does not currently accept any donations. Instead, we select ministries in Huntsville, and we invite members of The Bridge to donate directly to those ministries.
